Binnie A Dansby
Binnie A. Dansby is an internationally acclaimed teacher, therapist, philosopher, and author whose work centers on recognizing the profound impact of birth on human consciousness and culture. She is the creator of the SOURCE Process and Breathwork system—a methodology designed to support the evolution of human awareness by healing birth-related wounds and patterns, thereby unlocking access to creativity, joy, and vitality.
Beginning her journey in the 1970s, Binnie was among the pioneers exploring how birth and early life experiences influence human development. Her work has empowered thousands to release limiting beliefs and traumas rooted in prenatal, birth, and early childhood experiences.
Her teachings are grounded in practical tools and a deep respect for each individual’s uniqueness. Binnie has supported hundreds of births, including the first water birth in the United States, and has taught practices related to birth, breathwork, and conscious living across the globe—in Estonia, Denmark, Germany, England, and the United States.
Key themes in Binnie’s work:
- Acknowledging and healing the impact of birth and early life experiences
- Conscious breathing and breathwork as tools for personal growth
- Natural and conscious birthing practices
- Individual and collective healing
- Experiencing creativity and unity in life
Binnie has inspired individuals from diverse fields—therapists, midwives, business leaders, teachers, doctors, engineers, and parents. Her work has significantly influenced the development of a holistic culture of birth and healing and has made a profound contribution to the conscious breathing movement.
Her message is both simple and profound: “Birth is our greatest teacher.
“For me, body awareness means being conscious of having a body—not being the body. It’s about releasing the belief that ‘my body is who I am.’ When we begin to understand our body as a miraculous gift we’ve given ourselves, we open the path to making peace with all that it means to be human in a physical body. Awakening to this physiological marvel can lead to better health and provides us with the strength and resilience needed for spiritual, emotional, and physical growth—and lays the foundation for a deeper experience of well-being.” – Binnie A Dansby
From the lecture:
You began this life in the womb of Woman. You co created a body, made up a mind.
About being in/with a body, what do you think?
I invite you to join me for a deep inquiry into the origins, the source, of your thoughts and experience of this physiological miracle, the body. In the intense sensory experience of all that was happening inside and outside our bodies when we took our first breath, we made decisions about ‘the body’ and ‘other’ bodies. Those decisions are ‘alive and well’, held below conscious awareness, causing an effect on all our actions and reactions.
In our time together…
. . .we will acknowledge the impact of conception, gestation, birth and the first breath
on our individual lives and on society
. . .we will deepen into process work designed to reveal the personal decisions you
made about your body before you could speak and discover how to make new
choices and healing.
. . .we will experience SOURCE Process and Breathwork, a gentle, tried and tested
modality that can produce sustainable healing results.
Awakening to the possibility that your body is your partner in time and space, here to serve your soul’s purpose, can lead you to better health and well-being. Working with the body in love and appreciation affords the possibility of having the physical and mental stamina required for spiritual, emotional, and physical growth and a true sense of peace with the physical.
Every breath you take can be a healing breath.
Let’s explore the potential and possibility together.
